Mum In Europe Finally!

Finally this to-do list in my life is ticked!
Bringing mum to travel whenever I can afford, it was surely an achievement in 2024.
So we spent 2 weeks in the western, like real.

Flight from Penang to Doha to Munich~

Longest flight for mum in her life~
Overall flight experience is good.
I was too tired from non-stop working before the trip.

Across the globe~

Mum transited at Doha Airport~

Then we are here!
Germany as the first stop!
Site seeing at Chiemsee~

Hot but not so hot, haha!

Took a boat ride across the Chiemsee lake~

At the village, mum said it was too quiet for her to sleep~
Culture shock~~~

Then up to the mountain for Mother's Day celebration with the mums!

What about a schnitzel and bear festival?

Later we went for a road trip to the border of countries.
My second visit to the Bodensee~
Which is also known as Lake Constance.
Taking a ferry across the big lake~

Picnic by the lake, haha!

Then to the nearby city called Lindau.

Of course, cannot skip site seeing and Church visit~

Happy mum, happy life~

It was a nice and peaceful experience,
but unfortunately I was sick.
Not a nice one for me.
But we love the blue sky and cold wind for sure~

Visiting friends at Mülheim later on.
Good accompany and mum can finally speak in Chinese, haha.
Enough of English I think~

Rare opportunity to play some games with the kiddy~
Quite memorable experience for all of us!

Travel on the road can be quite tiring, so thank you for driving us around!
We arrived at a special point called Basel,
where Germany, Switzerland and France meet.
Took a cool photo for my mum.

So we were in between the 3 countries, hoho!

Made our way to Colmar at France!
Such a busy and cute town to visit!
Romantic France town, so colourful!

So must try some delicacies from the land of pastries.
I got myself Macarons and Churros.
I like Macarons better~

Another older town in Colmar, like fairy tale land!
So cute! Love all the blossoming flowers.

After many days, we headed to famous Heidelberg in Germany~
So first thing to do is visit the church~

Cold inside and peaceful inside.

It is a really huge church, I think it is impressive.

And tadaa!
Famous view at Heidelberg, the university and town combination~

Can't believe this was my 4th time visiting the western countries.
Still many places to visit in future.

But it was once in a life time for mum,
so I am happy to bring her around.

No rice or noodle,
a lot of bread, pizza and pasta~
And gelato~

So we made our own Currypuff?
Haha, and mum really love the Asparagus here,
So juicy and yummy!

Last but not least, meeting more people before ending the trip.
The local and family~

Got to enjoy myself in the flower & dandelion field,
and trying out the traditional outfit~

Happy birthday ya!

The actual first meal for mum in the land of cheese, bear and sausages~

Happy meeting the lovely couple again.
As usual, a lot of food and chatting~

We definitely cooked rice and Bak Kut Teh, and Tom Yum there!
Can't live without rice, I agree.

Shopping~ mum was amazed by the huge leak.
And me, the huge chocolate bar~

Last but not least, two weeks flies too~
It was a short but wonderful trip with the loved ones.
Thank you Mr. E for planning and bring us around.
You are the best host!

Thank you for everything.
See you again soon!

And oops, guess who were being missed?!
Woof!
